Basic Information: Liu Hansheng, male, born November, 1962 in Hancheng, Shaanxi Province. Professor, Ph.D. Master tutor. Graduated “Water conservancy and hydropower construction” in Dept. of Hydraulic Engineering of Xi’an University of Technology. He got the “Hydraulics and River dynamics” Master’s Degree in Hehai University and got the “Hydraulics and River dynamics” Doctoral Degree in Dalian University of Technology.
Affiliation: Vice Chief of the national information network for the spillway and high speed flow; Member of the Hydraulics committee of the China Hydropower Society; Member of the International Hydraulics Committee.

(1) Hydraulic materials durability;
(2) Safety and restored technology of hydraulic structure.
3.Teaching Courses
From 1984 to 2001, he has charged of the experiment research for the material structure in the Northwest Water Resource Institute of the Ministry of Water Resource; From 2001 to now, has been charging of the teaching and research of the Materials Structure in the College of Water Resources and Architecture Engineering, Northwest A&F University; Major lectured the courses of “Building materials”, “Civil engineering materials” and “Reinforced concrete structure”
Currently has 5 postgraduate students and have graduated 19 Master Degree students.

Scientific Research Subjects
In recent years, he has charged of 27 research subjects from the national and local agencies, such as two national 863 subjects and one national science support planning subject and other from Xinjiang, Shaanxi, Ningxia and local counties.

During present years, published 14 scientific papers early or late in the Journal of Hydraulic Engineering,Transactions of the Hydropower and so on, and February, 2004 Chief editor 1 professional books of Water Drop and Chute China Water Resources and Hydropower Press.
Professional Contributions
(1) January, 2008 “Research and application of the energy dissipation by the X type wide pier ” has obtained the First Prize of Science and Technology by Shaanxi Province.
(2) 2007“Key technology research for the energy dissipation by the horizontal rolling flow”has obtained the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress by the China hydropower Consultancy.
(3) April, 1999“Damage and Prevention for the Spilling Structure”has obtained the Third Prize of Science and Technology Progress by the Ministry of Water Resources.
(4) 2006 Guided the Bachelor student Zhang Dan’ s thesis obtained the Second Prize by the Hydropower Society of Shaanxi Province.
